These terms govern your use of CostNest. By using any calculator or page on this site, you agree to these terms. See also our Disclaimer and Privacy Policy.
1. Use of Calculators & Informational Purpose
CostNest provides free online calculators for informational and estimation purposes only — including but not limited to Income Tax, EMI/Loan, Zakat, GPA, VAT, and construction tools. Results are mathematical estimates based on the values you enter and the formulas in use at that time. They should not be used as the sole basis for financial, tax, legal, medical, or construction decisions. Always verify important results with a qualified professional. 2. Accuracy of Rates & Formulas
Our calculators use publicly available rates — including BPDB electricity tariffs, NBR income tax slabs, BAJUS gold prices, and Bangladesh Bank reference rates. We update these as promptly as possible, but rates and regulations change without notice. Users are responsible for verifying that the rates used match the official current figures from the relevant government or regulatory authority before acting on any result.
3. Privacy & Data Handling
No signup, login, or account is required to use CostNest. Your calculator inputs are processed locally in your browser and are never transmitted to our servers. We use Google AdSense, Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, and Formspree for advertising, analytics, and contact form processing. 4. Intellectual Property
The CostNest name, logo, design system, and calculator logic are the intellectual property of CostNest and its operators. Unauthorized reproduction, redistribution, scraping, or repackaging of our calculator code, content, or UI is strictly prohibited. Reference links to official sources are used for informational purposes and do not imply endorsement.
5. Crawling, Indexing & Automated Access
Standard web indexing by legitimate search engine crawlers — including Googlebot, Bingbot, and equivalent bots from reputable search engines — is explicitly permitted and welcomed on all CostNest pages. This site participates in standard search engine discovery and we actively maintain a sitemap.xml and robots.txt to facilitate complete and accurate indexing. However, automated scraping of CostNest calculator source code, formula logic, UI templates, structured content, or datasets for the purpose of AI model training, dataset aggregation, commercial repackaging, or republication without express written permission from CostNest is strictly prohibited. This prohibition applies regardless of the method used (HTTP scraping, headless browser automation, API crawling, or any other technique). Violations constitute infringement of these Terms and may be pursued under applicable intellectual property and computer misuse laws.
6. Advertising
CostNest displays advertisements through Google AdSense. Ad content is served and controlled by Google based on your browsing history and site context. CostNest is not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements. You may opt out of personalised advertising at any time — see our Privacy Policy for opt-out links.
7. Limitation of Liability
CostNest is provided 'as is' without any warranties, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CostNest and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including financial loss, incorrect tax filings, or construction errors — resulting from the use of, or reliance on, our calculators or content.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our services, applicable law, or best practices. The 'Last updated' date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent revision was made. Continued use of CostNest after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
