Accurate material estimates help you control build costs in Bangladesh. Ordering too much cement or brick ties up cash; ordering too little stalls the site. These tools are meant for early budgetingβnot a substitute for a quantity surveyor on a signed contract.
The Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC) influences steel, concrete and masonry quantities. Our calculators use common BNBC-style ratios together with typical local market rates for cement, steel, sand and brick.
In Dhaka, finished construction often runs roughly 2,500β3,500 BDT per sqft for economy work and 4,500β6,500+ BDT for premium finishes. Labour and haulage differ between Dhaka, Chattogram and rural districts.
Economy grade construction in Dhaka costs roughly 2,500β3,500 BDT per sqft. Standard grade runs 3,500β4,500, and premium finishes exceed 5,000 BDT per sqft. Rates vary by location, contractor and material prices.
A standard 5-inch wall requires approximately 8β10 standard Bangladesh bricks per sqft of wall area, plus 10β15% wastage allowance. Our brick calculator handles all common wall thicknesses.
For M20 concrete, you need approximately 8β9 bags of 50kg cement per cubic metre. The exact amount depends on the mix ratio used.
BNBC requires a minimum steel ratio of 0.25% for slabs. Always consult a structural engineer for your specific project.
For 12mm thick plaster, you need approximately 0.012 cubic metres of mortar per sqft of wall area. Our plaster calculator works out exact cement and sand quantities.
