Final Result
30.53 m³ Loaded → Lasts ~20 days
Methodology
This section explains the calculation logic, assumptions, and source material used to make the result more trustworthy and easier to verify.
Gas Volume Loaded (m³) = (Recharge BDT − Monthly Fixed Charges) ÷ Tariff Rate. Standard Tariff Rate = ৳26.20/m³. Monthly Fixed Charge = ৳200 (meter rent). Remaining Days = Gas Volume Loaded (m³) ÷ Daily Burner Consumption (m³/day).
The standard prepaid gas meter rate for residential consumers is regulated by the BERC (Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission) and is currently set at ৳26.20 per cubic meter (m³) for distributors like Titas Gas, Karnaphuli Gas, and Jalalabad Gas.
A monthly fixed charge of ৳200 for prepaid meter rent is automatically deducted from your first recharge of each calendar month. If you recharge multiple times in the same month, no rent is deducted on subsequent recharges.
After the ৳200 monthly meter rent deduction, ৳800 goes toward purchasing gas units, yielding 30.53 m³ of gas. For an average double-burner household consuming 1.5 m³ per day, this recharge will last approximately 20 days.
For standard Titas/Karnaphuli meters, pressing the 'A' button once or twice wakes up the LCD screen to display the remaining BDT balance, cubic meters consumed, and valve status. Refer to your local distributor guide for keycodes.
Prepaid meters have an emergency credit feature. On most Titas prepaid meters, pressing and holding the red button (Button 'B') for 5 seconds will open the valve and credit a temporary allowance of cubic meters to keep the stove running until you can recharge.
