Electricity Bill Calculator BD
Bangladesh electricity bill using BPDB 2024 slab rates.
Calculate your monthly Dhaka WASA water and sewerage bills. Estimate costs using official tariff rates, connection categories, septic/sewerage surcharges, and VAT.
KL = Kilolitre (1,000 Litres or 1 Unit on WASA meters).
Dhaka WASA charges a sewerage connection surcharge equal to 100% of your total water bill if your property uses the WASA underground sewer system. If you utilize a local septic tank, you only pay the water consumption charge.
WASA meters have dials showing numbers in black and red. The black numbers show full cubic meters (1 m³ = 1 Unit = 1,000 Litres), which are used for billing. The red numbers measure fractional amounts in litres and decilitres, which are useful for leak detection but are not counted in monthly bills.

As of 2025–26, the Dhaka WASA water tariff rate is BDT 16.61 per 1,000 Litres (1 Kilolitre / 1 Unit) for residential connections. For commercial connections, the rate is BDT 46.62 per 1,000 Litres.
If your building is connected to the Dhaka WASA sewerage pipeline network, you will be charged a sewerage surcharge equal to 100% of your water charge (essentially doubling the bill before VAT). If your building is not connected (uses a septic tank), the sewerage surcharge is BDT 0.
Government regulations mandate a 5% Value Added Tax (VAT) on the combined subtotal of the water charge and sewerage surcharge on all metered WASA utility bills in Bangladesh.
Dhaka WASA water meters measure consumption in cubic meters (m³), where 1 m³ is equal to 1,000 Litres (or 1 Kilolitre / Unit). Subtract your previous month's reading from the current month's reading to find the total metered units consumed.
